Hi, I’m Brandi.
Atmosphere-lyric connoisseur. Darkness fan. Bunny mom. Podcaster. Band tees ‘n’ jeans. Coffee. CrossFit. Inappropriate.
Digital marketing at a music management company.
To quote Fred Wesley & The J.B.’s:
“I AM SOMEBODY.”
Unprofessional, to say the least.
I’m a South Jersey girl. I went to my first concert when I was 14 (The Darkness at TLA in Philly on April 2, 2004), and from that moment on, my life was forever changed. I was a rebellious nerd, and will always be a rebellious nerd, dork, what have you. I talk a little bit about myself in my intro podcast HERE.
Everything I write and podcast about is my own opinion and unaffiliated with anyone I work for. I think it’s important for people to share their stories and unique experiences. Everyone is raised in different situations, on different values, and have different paths to where they are now. Knowing I could be an inspiration, or the doorway to someone acknowledging a different perspective, is HUGE.
This podcast and blog, and whatever else stems from this “experiment,” is to put rock music on a pedestal. Without rock and roll, who knows if I would still exist or be where I am today. I am forever grateful for the journey that my passion for music is leading me through.
It’s also safe to say I have had self-image issues for as long as I can remember. I am quite modest in-person; I’m fully clothed, usually wearing black. The tastefully-done logo is done by one of my heros Celeste Giuliano is purposely to get people to click – maybe someone will discover a new band, a new business in town, other badass women, think I am funny, or leave an episode with a new perspective.
